Raccoon Control & Removal

Raccoons, medium-sized mammals native to North America, boast distinctive black "mask" markings and ringed tails, making them easily identifiable. Their adaptability allows them to thrive in diverse environments, from urban and suburban areas to rural landscapes. Omnivores by nature, raccoons consume a varied diet, including fruits, nuts, insects, small animals, and human food scraps. Their dexterous front paws, akin to hands, contribute to their adept climbing and swimming abilities.

Despite their fascinating qualities, raccoons can pose challenges for homeowners. During the breeding season, they may seek shelter in attics, chimneys, or roof spaces, potentially causing structural issues. Once inside, these creatures can damage homes by tearing insulation, chewing through wiring, and creating nests using available materials. Such activities not only result in structural problems but also elevate the risk of electrical issues and fire hazards.

Moreover, raccoons are known to damage soffits on homes. Soffits, the underside of roof eaves, can be targeted by raccoons seeking entry points. Their persistence and sharp claws may lead to the destruction of soffits, allowing these animals to gain access to attics. This emphasizes the importance of reinforcing soffits and securing potential entry points to prevent raccoon infestations.

In addition to structural concerns, raccoons' scavenging behavior in residential areas can be disruptive. They may tip over trash cans, damage gardens, and leave behind messy surroundings. Due to their intelligence and persistence, raccoons can be challenging to deter once they find a way into homes. Homeowners are strongly advised to implement comprehensive preventive measures to safeguard against the potential damages caused by raccoon infestations.
